First, your blood is drawn from your arm. Don’t worry—it’s a small amount. That blood is then sent to a centrifuge for separation. The PRP is used to make the serum that will be injected into your scalp. We work meticulously to spread the PRP throughout your targeted area.
Local anesthetics are often applied, but you still may feel a slight pinch. The injection takes only a moment, with most sessions concluding in under 30 minutes, and then you are free to go back to work or meet your friend for lunch.

Pre-Treatment Tips
- Avoid alcohol before your session, as it can make you more susceptible to bruising.
- Avoid NSAIDs and aspirin for about a week before your session for the same reason as alcohol.
- Do take Tylenol, Arnica, or Bromelain beforehand to reduce the amount of inflammation and bruising post-treatment.
- Wash your hair before your treatment. Avoid cosmetics and styling products.
Post-Treatment Tips
- For at least 72 hours after your treatment, avoid coloring or chemical hair treats.
- Do not use hair styling products for at least 24 hours post-treatment. A gentle shampoo and wash is fine 6 hours after your appointment.
When Will I See Results?
It often takes 3-6 months for new hair growth to become noticeable. These will be little baby hairs that soon grow thick, full, and lustrous. Most individuals require at least 3 sessions. Each appointment is scheduled about 4 weeks apart in the beginning. Should you require more than three, the following sessions are spaced 3 months apart. To maintain your luscious locks, maintenance sessions are recommended every 4-6 months.
