On the day of your appointment, you can expect to be in and out of our office fast. The DrSkin team will welcome you in and get you prepped for the procedure. As with any injectable, dermal fillers are very convenient, and so most sessions take about 30 minutes. You could even come and have this done on your lunch break.

To eliminate discomfort, a meticulous technician will provide you with either a topical or local anesthetic. With the targeted area numbed, the dermal filler is delivered. This process will be repeated until the desired effect is achieved. You may need a couple of sessions; we can discuss that during your consultation.

After your dermal filler appointment is done, feel free to return to your day. Minimal to zero downtime is needed!

Pre-Treatment Tips

During your initial consultation, our team will give you specific instructions to make your dermal filler appointment a success. Here are some other tips to follow:

Refrain from using OTC pain medications, including NSAIDs and acetaminophen.
Two days before your dermal filler appointment, do not use glycolic acid, Retin-A, retinol, retinoids, or any other anti-aging cosmetics.
Avoid tweezing, waxing, bleaching, or any hair removal products.
Abstain from alcohol the day before your appointment and the day of.

Post-Treatment Tips

Avoid sun exposure after your treatment.
Do not drink alcohol for a few weeks to prevent bruising.
If you notice any bruising or swelling, apply an ice pack to the treated area.
Avoid strenuous activities for the first few weeks.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect From Dermal Fillers?
