Who is a Good Candidate for Dual Light Acne Treatments?

However, dual light acne therapies are best used on light or medium skin tones. Darker skin is less responsive to the blue and red light. Furthermore, there is a high risk of discoloration resulting from the therapy, due to the pigmentation of the skin.

Other conditions that may prevent you from receiving this service include epilepsy, cancer, metal implants, pregnancy, active skin disorders, and so on. A history of keloid scarring will also be considered.

You may want to avoid blue and red light therapy if you have a tattoo in the targeted area.
